Talk to your audience
... here's how.
Apologies for the prolonged radio silence. I had planned to only take a few days off around the election (there was enough noise). The results, however, dropped me into a pretty deep who-cares-why-bother-everything-sucks mindset. And I was actually contemplating letting Read This just quietly disappear.
But then something amazing happened: a few of you reached out to check in.
And that was it, that small act of connection was the kick in the ass I needed. And so, I'm back today with what I hope is another helpful link … but also with something more.
First, today's link. Want to grow your audience? The folks at Inbox Collective recommend a simple tactic: talk with your subscribers. The benefits are two-fold. 1) It takes the guess work out newslettering, and 2) it can help foster a deeper connection with your readers.
Speaking of talking with subscribers: I want to talk with you. For the past 14 years, I’ve been helping writers and publishers use email as a way to find and connect with readers. And I want to help you. I’ve set aside some time over the next couple of weeks for anyone who wants to talk about email newsletters.
There are no ulterior motives here. I’m not interested in interviewing you, or using this as a way to grow my audience or client base.
Right now, I just want to feel helpful ... and connect with other humans. Let’s talk.
Read This is curated by Stephen Knezovich. Each issue shares resources and insights to help writers launch, improve & grow their email newsletter. This particular issue links to an article by Brad Wolverton at Inbox Collective.
